Soooo... who is Meg?

The ultimate question.... who am I? Hmmmm .... so here we go:  My name is Meg Hazen and I live in Bienfait, Saskatchewan with my dashing husband, Matt. Of course there is also Grizzly, and Ka - Shitzhu, and snake respectively.

..........  And Steve the sheep on and off... but that is for another day's ramblings....

So, back in the late eighties I was born: a darling, very well behaved, adorable child. :D     Through a few moves, schools, adventures, homes, 'mysterious' illnesses, life lessons, good books and plenty of Wendy's spicy chicken burgers home cooked meals, I have emerged as an alright  pretty snazzy lady...

I love laughing, and being silly. I think play is the most beautiful part of life. I love to cook and bake (off and on) and am not too shabby at it I am told. My bread has been described as 'deadly' and 'epic' and I even mastered the gluten free pizza. I like to dabble in yoga, books, music, naps, mountain biking, hiking, planning and daydreaming. Someday, I would like to complete the Appalachian Trail. I am embarking on my Appalachian Trail thru hike attempt #2 in Spring of 2019!!! Annnnnnnnd I don't really like wine. For real. Makes my throat feel... powdery.

                                                                      .....Anywho....

I sort of stumbled into Reiki a while after having been quite ill and pretty much healing myself with good ol' healthy, real food and cleaning up my lifestyle, which I can help you with too!. But through that whole process, another part of me had become just ... unwell... a tad jaded....blech?

My whole life was going great, I was healthy again, married (to a very wonderful man), good job, etc, life was good! But I felt all messed up. I seen a blog post from a girl I had worked with many years back and started to follow her story which had some similarities to what I had been going through. She ended up back in Estevan and had started her own business (sageandcenter.com)  so I decided to check it out (as you all should as well). I booked in for a session pretty skeptical on the 'Reiki (whatever that is)' part but figured if anything it would be nice to see my friend and an hour of relaxation is good for anyone.... right?

My first Reiki session knocked my socks off.

It just blew my skeptical mind away and all felt so familiar and just so......right. I had to learn more. I had to have more sessions. A couple sessions later I decided to sign up for the Reiki Level 1 class and then began my own journey and reevaluating a lot of my own preconceived notions about what all these buzz words we use actually mean or what they could mean instead of brushing it off as 'New Age' jargon. The more I learn about Reiki and especially the more I experience Reiki, the more I am in awe of the magnitude of what it all means. It seems too good to be true that we all have the innate capability to channel this life source energy which facilitates healing on all levels and for our highest good even. But here we are.

I want to share this with the world. I want to help people heal - through their journeys and mine. I mean, why not? I have been interested in Nutrition and health and the human body for most of my life and have since obtained a diploma in Holistic Nutrition & Health Coaching. I am in the process of developing my offerings and would very much appreciate if you would complete a short anonymous survey I have created by clicking here. I love to help others feel good and especially to teach them to be able to do the same for themselves and others as well. I can't see that anything bad can come from that, so let's go - Let's work together!

There is such a need for love, kindness, caring, and healing in our world today. Let's get started here today, with ourselves.

Thank you for reading and I hope to hear from you very soon.

Namaste.

<3 Meg
